on leave today so i decided to run some chores. paid the 2013 real property tax and took advantage of the 20% discount. after lunch, off i went with my sister to binondo and divisoria to check out a store who's selling LED TV at a cheaper price at the same time buy LED christmas lights. instead of going to 168 mall, the salesman from the TV store recommended us to go to divisoria mall instead.
so we walked and went towards the crowd. it was packed at 1 in the afternoon. we finally arrived at our destination only to find out that a few stalls only sell christmas lights. so we went up, down and around and i haven't found that particular LED steady christmas lights on sale which i first saw at SM Bicutan for the price of php 500 per 100 lights. expensive right? hell, yes!
so we asked the guard and told us to go back to the 2nd floor by going inside jollibee's stairs going up. we reached it and true enough we found it. lo and behold, there in that stall i finally found the LED steady christmas lights selling at php 180 a pop! bargain? hell, yeah!!
so i ordered 3 and when i am about to pull my wallet out of my bag i noticed a huge sharp, clean rip on the side of my bag. my bag was slashed by a cutter or a blade! quickly i checked my things and thank the Lord, my wallet was still there, all my valuables intact. nothing gone. i am rattled but relieved. thank you, GOD!!
it's been a long while, like more than a decade, since i got into this situation. both robbers were unsuccessful at their attempt to make a profit out of me. i now know that there is an angel who protects me - ALWAYS!! for that i am eternally grateful. i have to be extra careful and wary of my surroundings next time. good thing though that today, i was holding my bag at all times so i am still mindful of my bag and the dangers lurking around in broad daylight.
thank God my sister came with me as i was planning to push forth alone as i wanted to check out the TV, buy the christmas lights, eat at dong bei dumplings, buy the trapal for the tent, buy hopia and all things chinatown!
sadly, the bag that was given to me 2 christmas ago is gone. i liked that bag, very useful. it has served its purpose.

Hindi ko akalain na kaya mo pala pumunta ng DV. :) Mas delikado ang DV ngayon kasi alam nila na may pera ang mga tao. Buti kahit madalas ako sa DV, wala pa nangyayari sa akin na ganyan. I make sure kasi na mukha akong purita tuwing pumupunta doon, you know, lumang damit, bag, walang alahas at naka spartan na tsinelas lang.
Kung Xmas lights sana nagawi ka na lang sa Cubao beside the Farmers Market. Dami tinda Xmas decor. May nabili ako LED (multi-function, blinking or steady ) na PhP150 lang. Not sure lang kung 100 lights yun.
Nagulat din nga may nagtitinda ng modern appliances sa DV. Aside from LCD TV's may nakita ako induction stove. Hindi ko na tinatong kung magkano kasi wala pa naman ako balak bumili. Bka next year. :)
