Good year 2013

few more hours left until we say goodbye to two thousand and thirteen.  it was a good year for me.  not a sad year as you can see not much posts on my blog. i was not busy as i used to be but when my life is easy going, i don't have anything to say.

i have a lot to say when i am sad.  sad isn't it?  i am more expressive or my heart speaks more when i am sad or hurting.  i wish i could speak my heart when it is time to say my vows.  that is my mission.

i have a lot to be thankful for.  God has been good to me ever since the moment i said "please, make it my turn."  He has blessed me with a wonderful man.  who would've thought to deserve to have a guy like him.  completely opposite in terms of attitude.  i am thankful for that.

the start of the year 2013 was surprising yet nerve wracking as i will be turning a new chapter in the future.  my days as a single woman are numbered when jk proposed to me 6 days on to january.  no ring but i knew he was sincere and was serious to spend the rest of his life with me.  it was on his mind.  my dreams finally coming to reality.  i have experienced attending a greek orthodox wedding and realized that i still wanted to get married in my catholic church and him ever so giving agreed that we will be marrying twice, each of our churches.

fast forward to my birthday, i gifted myself with a new ipad mini after a lengthy research.  giving myself a pat on the back and enjoy the fruits of our labor.  few days later, i had a taste of patron. it was nice and very smooth.

this is also a year of many travels!  i must say i am making the most out of enjoy my single life as i know priorities will change once you get married.  i am thankful that God gave me a chance to enjoy my wanderlust.  from australia at the start of the year, vietnam and cambodia last august, to my business trip in dubai and finally to spending time with my sister and eliz in thailand.

each country i have explored and ticked some of my bucket list. getting engaged (lol) in australia, shopped and learned about the vietnam war in vietnam, exploring the ancient ruins in angkor wat, tried the fish spa and party all night at the pub street in siem reap, to do solo travel going to gold souk, taking the train in dubai and riding a shared taxi to go to ferrari world in abu dhabi and rode the fastest roller coaster in the world, to experiencing elephant ride, elephant bathe, bridge over river kwai and shop till you drop in bangkok.  these are the highlights of my year of travel and i cannot thank you enough!

and i started a new thing everytime i will travel.  it is to take a picture doing yoga pose in each of the country i visit.  3 out of the 26 poses and i want to do more!

there is one thing that i want to start a tradition which i learned while watching keeping up with the kardashians is to share the peak and pit of their trip.  i'd like to start this today.

peak: getting engaged to my dream come true
pit: getting into a fight with my brother

oh, and one final thing. jk finally got me an engagement ring!  and i cannot wait to see it!

p.s. i have exercised my right as a taxpayer and participated in the million march too!
