i can't seem to find any words on how to start this one. you see, my literary genius only awakens when i am at the bottom of the pit. so it is currently in hibernation as i am quite happy with the life i am riding in now.
so here i am now in isolation, trying to focus on this final blog of mine for 2009. i am here inside my bathroom where the bathtub serves as my table for my laptop and the toilet my chair. nope. i am not telling you if i'm doing number 1 or 2 or both or neither.
45 minutes left for 2009 and i haven't started this.. so here goes.
first quarter started good where a friends wed, gave birth and found myself moving to a new career. it was a beginning that i am really looking forward to. a new year where i have decided to let go of the sad past and welcome the blessings that come my way. horoscopes, both zodiac and chinese, offered me an optimistic future both for love and career and i was ecstatic about it.
traveled on the second quarter of the year with girlfriends... it was a blast and i was also able tick off some of the bucket list - parasailing and white water rafting. living the single life was a blast since no bf would stop me from doing the things i wanted to do before i get hitched. 5 days of girls night out, my pre-birthday bash for me.
my birthday came and as usual i did my annual pamper me day. this time, i went to the spa at the fort. that same night, i gathered my female besties at barcinos to celebrate "double-3". old and new friends came together to celebrate life, love and happiness. of course, let's not forget the reds, the cheese and never-ending girl conversations.
learned the game of poker, rekindled the dream of having my own piece of real estate and got me-self some braces!
3rd quarter proved to be the most sad and also the beginning of the best part of the year. this was when i have found out that dead-ex is getting hitched which would seal the deal that hoping to have a 2nd chance at love is not going to happen - AT ALL. Thank God or maybe God did sense that this is the way for telling me that. with the sadness, i honestly became mad at God, telling Him that He was unfair to me. but then, i told Him this: "AKO NAMAN"!
God did indeed answered my prayer because it was when my manager/friend offered me an opportunity of a lifetime. my life long dream of traveling abroad for work had finally came true. after waiting 10 years for it, God gave me this. the beginning. finally, He heard my cry. He is now blessing me. 2.5 months in Australia. my second travel for the year.
ooh, and one more thing for the 3rd quarter, i gotta to learn another skill - to surf!
i also witness philippine history by paying our respects to tita cory on the day she will be laid to rest beside her hero husband.
the last three months of 2009 was the best part of my life so far. being in Australia, living the single life there - learning to cook, do the laundry, iron and partly clean. it was a good experience. sort of my internship in preparation for living in the western world. it was also the opportunity for me to imerse myself with a new culture. i fell in love with Melbourne and i wanted to stay there for good.
was able to reestablish communication with my eldest sister, too.
i thought one of my goals there won't happen until the last 2 weeks of my stay there. it was december. christmas is in the air. for 2 fridays, i've kissed a guy and it was a memorable one. photofinish. i am ecstatic.
overall, it was an auspicious year for me, as the feng shui fortune would put it. i hope it'll continue on to the next year.
2010, january. off to Australia again, to continue what i have left off. 2 months. looking forward to another 2 months of bliss.
cheers to 2010! here's to wishing that this year, this time, i wish love will be on my side. cupid, bring me some L-O-V-E LURVE!!!
